Our answers

If you think you're likely to be taking more than one trip a year, then you may find that our Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance policy is more cost effective than taking out a separate policy each time you travel.

  6. Am I covered as soon as I get a reference number?

    • For single trip travel insurance, cancellation cover starts from the date we issue the policy, the rest of your cover will start on your intended departure date.
    • For annual travel insurance, cancellation cover begins from the start date of the policy or the date you book each holiday, whichever is later.

  7. Am I covered for a winter sports trip?

We regularly see injuries from pursuits like skiing and snowboarding so you will need to select winter sports cover and pay the extra premium.

    • Single trip: specify the winter sports option on your single trip travel insurance and you will be covered throughout the duration of your trip for an extra premium.
    • Annual multi-trip: specify the winter sports option on your annual travel insurance and you will be covered for up to a total of 21 days within the period of insurance for an extra premium.

If you add the winter sports option to your travel insurance policy, we'll show this clearly on your policy documentation.

If you add the business travel option to your travel insurance policy, we'll show this clearly on your policy documentation.
